Globe: Richard II

Simon Godwin offers a dynamic take on the play, where cruelty meets irony. Charles Edwards, who starred in the 2010 Downton Abbey series and the 2013 film Philomena, takes on the title role in a production that reflects on the burdens of kingship and the overwhelming forces that can destroy a monarch. The bright colors and colorful costumes featured in this historical production look great on the big screen.
